Donna Bastien, Director of Marketing, Communications Solutions, Agilent Technologies
Donna is responsible for Agilent Technologies' worldwide outbound marketing across Agilent's instrument and OSS assurance portfolios.
Previously, Donna was worldwide outbound marketing manager for Agilent’s OSS business and Strategic Marketing Manager; she was Telecommunications Strategy Manager at HP, performing strategic planning and business development.
Prior to that she was Bellcore’s VP and account manager for U S WEST. She held management and technical positions focused on new network capabilities and operator services at both Bellcore and Bell Laboratories.
Bastien holds a Ph.D. in experimental physics from the MIT, an M.S. in physics from Purdue, and a B.S. in mathematics and physics from Purdue. She also completed MIT Sloan School of Management’s Program for Senior Executives.
Brian Caskey, VP International Marketing – Strategic Technology, UTStarcom
Caskey is responsible for the International Marketing organization at UTStarcom. Previously Caskey was responsible for design and architecture of Next Generation Wireline and Wireless SoftSwitch based packet networks. In his eight years with the company, Caskey has spoken at many industry related events and evangelized SoftSwitch and Packetized Telephony throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. Caskey has also designed ATM, Frame Relay and IP networks for retail, financial, public utility and service provider clients.
Caskey has over twenty years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining UTStarcom, he held positions with 3Com, Timeplex and GTE Spacenet.
Ken Osowski, VP, Marketing & Product Management, Pactolus Communication Software
Kenneth Osowski, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management has been at Pactolus for over 4 years, joining during the company’s early development stage. Osowski started in the enhanced services market in 1993 at Boston Technology (acquired by Comverse), where in a senior product management role introduced the company’s carrier-focused messaging platforms, the CO ACCESS 500/600, Access NP, and AccessMAX Service Creation Environment. In a Director of Sales role, he sold to the ILECs, CLECs, and major independent telcos. Osowski holds a B.S. degree in Physics from Franklin & Marshall College and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.
Erik Papir, Senior Director of Solutions Architecture, 3Com
As senior director of solutions architecture, Erik Papir oversees a global team of technical pre-sales specialists that design large secure, converged networks comprising of 3Com Internet Protocol (IP)-based products and services for large enterprises.
Since joining 3Com in 1999, Papir has held various technical management positions of increasing responsibility including serving as network consultant for some of 3Com’s largest accounts including the Palm Beach (Fla.) County Schools.
Papir has more than 13 years of experience in the networking and telecommunications industries and extensive experience in designing and installing products and services for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining 3Com in 1999, Papir served in pre-sales and post-sales engineering management positions for General Electric (GE) Corporation.
Papir earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. He is a member of the Florida International University’s MS-MIS Advisory Board.
